This position reports to: Category Manager __ Your role and responsibilities (Mandatory) In this role, you will have the opportunity to ensure the implementation, maintenance, and compliance of the purchasing and logistics-related activities in the Procurement function to support the businesses. Each day, you will execute assigned activities as per ABB standard procedures. You will also showcase your expertise by delivering and participating in training programs as required to ensure compliance and to foster professional development. The work model for the role is: #LI-OnSite This role is contributing to the Electrification Business in Apodaca, Nuevo Leon. You will be mainly accountable for: Executing purchasing and logistics strategies to support the business by optimizing costs, quality, and reliability of suppliers and supplied products. Designing and implementing plans and effective strategies for local sourcing of products/materials to reach business targets. Supporting in implementing effective local sourcing strategies in line with business strategy to meet current and future business requirements. Applying and implementing procurement standards, tools, and processes in your area of responsibility to secure quality, delivery, cost, and sustainability.

Qualifications

for the role (Mandatory) Bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, mechatronics, industrial or related engineering. 5+ years of experience in similar positions such as procurement specialist, senior buyer or similar roles.

Experience

in direct purchases (Ideal suppliers/knowledge in copper and aluminum). Basic knowledge of electrical components (e.g. choke, fans).

Experience

in ERP SAP 4 HANA (MM and PP Modules), Excel and Power BI. Able to decide when, what and how to solve the problem and then take responsibility with fast delivery. Negotiation Skills Basics in a Multicultural Global Business Environment Advanced English level.
