This is a remote position and can be located anywhere in the US. Position Purpose: Provide legal advice and strategic support to Centene’s commercial health plan business. Serves as a lead resource for commercial health plan regulatory matters, including Ambetter Health and Solutions Advise business and compliance partners on federal and state healthcare laws, regulations, guidance, and market requirements that impact commercial product lines and programs Research, analyze, and interpret complex healthcare regulatory requirements, including but not limited to issues related to ACA/Exchange operations, mental health parity, No Surprises Act, essential health benefits, and broker matters Reviews, drafts and negotiates contracts, policies and procedures and related documents Provides practical legal guidance to support implementation of new laws, regulatory changes, business initiatives, policies, procedures, and operational workflow Manages or supports subpoenas, disputes, and outside counsel engagement as needed Partner with Compliance, Regulatory Operations, Product, Clinical, Network, Finance, and other business leadership to identify legal risks, develop practical solutions, and support timely decision-making Performs other duties as assigned Complies with all policies and standards Education/

Experience

Juris Doctor (JD) required: 5+ years of experience in the areas of corporate or health law required 1+ years of experience with government contract law, health law and managed care preferred Knowledge of Medicare and/or Medicaid insurance, state insurance and HMO regulations preferred Strong legal research, analysis, and writing skills Demonstrated ability to provide practical, business-oriented legal advice in a complex regulatory environment Bar Admission and currently in good standing preferred

Pay Range

$185,700.00 - $352,500.00 per year Centene offers a comprehensive benefits package including: competitive pay, health insurance, 401K and stock purchase plans, tuition reimbursement, paid time off plus holidays, and a flexible approach to work with remote, hybrid, field or office work schedules. Actual pay will be adjusted based on an individual's skills, experience, education, and other job-related factors permitted by law, including full-time or part-time status. Total compensation may also include additional forms of incentives.
