About the Role: As an Associate Publisher, you will play a crucial role in supporting the life cycle of health-related publications, including books, journals, and digital content. You will assist with getting these high-impact products to market by performing foundational tasks that ensure accuracy and quality. Your work supports our mission to provide top-tier health information to professionals and consumers, making a meaningful impact on public health outcomes. Responsibilities: To work with the Senior Publisher and Publishing head to achieve the goals and objectives for the Wolters Kluwer I Medknow Publishing program To carry out publishing administrative duties including record-keeping on handling the receipt and dispatch of correspondence including physical agreements/official letters/certificates to and from editors / Societies whilst maintaining confidentiality Develop the Subscriptions business and manage a team member to generate additional revenues Build, maintain and update a Wolters Kluwer I Medknow India/global journals acquisition target list from within India and other target markets across the world Assist in identifying priorities based on industry/competitive analysis, idea generation, and marketplace research To provide general assistance with marketing activities, including production of materials for a variety of marketing and publishing purposes Respond to Requests for Proposals and expressions of interest and work with the team Work with Senior Publisher and Publishing head in the journal/s renewal process to ensure that journals are renewed in advance of expiration, with appropriate pricing for the best possible financial return Keep abreast of industry developments, becomes an expert with respect to the competition, and project future trends in the Publishing sector Provide weekly progress reports To handle RNI / MIB related matters as and when required along with other duties and projects as required Co-ordinate with production, finance, IT, dispatch and other teams for timely maintenance of journal schedules Stay current with publishing industry trends, develop strong competitive intelligence, and contribute insights on future market developments. Handle all tools and platform to add and update journal related reports including Power BI Key account manager for the designated set of customers across journals, agents, etc. Required Skills and Competencies: Market Research: Ability to conduct research and translate insights into actionable publishing strategies. Digital Publishing Tools: Familiarity with content management systems and digital publishing platforms. Handling Power BI reports Business Development & Key Account Management: Experience supporting client relationships and acquisition activities. Communication Skills: Strong command of spoken and written English, with effective networking and interpersonal abilities. Presentation & Negotiation: Confident presentation skills and the ability to support commercial discussions. Administrative & Technical Skills: Proficient in MS Office applications (Outlook, Excel) and electronic communication tools. Organizational Skills: Strong time management, coordination, and attention to detail.
