Your role and responsibilities You will be working as Quality Assurance Specialist reporting to the Continuous Improvement Manager for the Electrification Business Area for Smart Power Division based in Bangalore. The work model for the role is #Li-Onsite You will be mainly accountable for: Responsible for in-process and final inspection of low voltage products such as ACB, MCCB, contactors, and relays, ensuring compliance with quality standards. Develop and implement Quality Plans, Control Plans, inspection checklists, CTQs, and quality gates to improve process control. Monitor process performance through First Pass Yield (FPY) and implement continuous improvement and Opex initiatives to enhance efficiency. Handle customer complaints by performing root cause analysis and implementing corrective and preventive actions (CAPA). Coordinate customer audits, FAT, and certification audits (UL, CSA, CCC, ISO), and conduct product testing as per IEC and catalogue specifications using advanced test equipment. Qualifications for the role Diploma/Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in a similar quality role. Minimum 8 years of practical experience in quality assurance in the low voltage switchgear industry. Proficient in quality tools and methodologies including FMEA, 7 QC tools, 5S, 5 Why, Kaizen, Poka-Yoke, SPC, DMAIC, and 8D root cause analysis. Experience with handling low voltage products such as MCCB, ACB, contactors, and thermal overload relays. Good understanding of low voltage switchgear products with the ability to analyze and resolve complex quality issues. Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification. Demonstrated interpersonal, analytical, and communication skills with the ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams.
