In 2021, Littelfuse had net sales of $2.1 billion. Assurance of quality system implementation in production. Provide guidance to manufacturing regarding quality issues. Identify and analyze quality problems and suggests corrective actions. Involvement with customers regarding complaints and services. Manage Continual Improvement process (Projects and team meetings). Take part in internal audits. Write SWRs/TECOs as necessary. Provide support to production as/when necessary. Provide backup for CofC’s (Certificate of Conformance) as necessary (40%) Control Internal Specifications and generate Specification Reviews as necessary, update internal system (WiP.mdb), and maintain documentation. Provide visual inspection training and certification for inspectors. Manage the Discrepant Work Reports system (Disposition and retention of DWRs). Provide guidance to manufacturing on discrepant material. Responsible for analysis of discrepant material (DWRs) and providing feedback to manager for continual improvement. Assist management with internal investigations, customer concerns, customer corrective actions, and internal specification review clarifications. Provide guidance in trouble shooting technical problems to get production back online with minimal impact. Provide 1st line investigation of technical problems and gather facts pertaining to the problem. Present problems in detail to management as they arise (40%) Responsible for providing engineering support to ensure smooth product flow through the manufacturing process. Provide assistance to Engineering where needed. Provide assistance to QA and Production manager with communicating direction and decision making to shift personnel. Facilitate inter-shift communication to provide feedback on problems and accomplishments (20%) Our humble roots date back to 1927, where, in the back of a garage on Chicago’s northside, our founder, Edward Sundt, developed a small, fast-acting, protective fuse for use in sensitive test meters.
