Join our team and start your journey today! We are looking for a Market Manager Food Retail & Cold Storage to drive strategic growth across two important market segments throughout Europe. In Food Retail, you will develop a deep understanding of supermarkets and grocery retailers, helping identify customer requirements, purchasing trends, and market opportunities within temperature-controlled food storage environments. In Cold Storage, you will focus on refrigeration applications throughout the storage and distribution journey, including cold rooms, distribution warehouses, frozen food facilities, dairy storage, and rapidly growing e-commerce logistics operations. This is a highly strategic role that combines market intelligence, customer insight, business analysis, and technology awareness. Key
Responsibilities
Develop and execute market strategies for the Cold Chain & Food Retail segments across Europe. Conduct market sizing, segmentation, trend analysis, and competitive intelligence to support strategic decision-making. Develop a deep understanding of the Food Retail landscape, including supermarket operators and grocery chains, and the factors influencing customer purchasing decisions. Analyze market trends and growth opportunities within cold storage applications, including distribution warehouses, cold rooms, frozen food storage facilities, dairy storage, and e-commerce logistics networks. Understand how purchasing behaviors, sales cycles, and investment priorities differ across Food Retail and Cold Chain segments and leverage these insights to guide business strategy. Gather and translate Voice of Customer and market insights into recommendations that influence product roadmaps and business investments. Identify emerging technologies and future market developments that could create new opportunities for Copeland's refrigeration and monitoring solutions. Partner with Product Management, Portfolio Marketing, Engineering, and Commercial teams to develop strategic growth initiatives. Support long-range planning, business strategy development, and investment prioritization through data-driven market analysis. Present market intelligence, business cases, and strategic recommendations to senior leadership and executive stakeholders. Evaluate adjacent market opportunities and support the expansion of Copeland's presence across evolving cold chain applications. Required
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, Engineering, or a related discipline. 3-5 years of experience in Market Management, Strategy, Product Marketing, Business Analysis, Consulting, or a similar market-focused role. Strong experience in market sizing, forecasting, competitive analysis, and strategic planning.
Experience
working with large datasets and translating insights into clear business recommendations. Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and presentation skills with the confidence to engage senior leadership and executive stakeholders.
Experience
influencing cross-functional teams and driving strategic initiatives. International or pan-European business experience. Fluent English. Ability to travel up to 30%.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience
within refrigeration, HVAC, cold chain, food retail, industrial technology, manufacturing, logistics, engineering, or related B2B industries. Knowledge of market segmentation, customer buying behaviors, and commercial strategy development.
Experience
supporting long-range planning, growth initiatives, and business strategy activities. Familiarity with Voice of Customer methodologies and market research tools. Master's degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, Engineering, or a related discipline.
