Administration: Administer Clark’s health and welfare programs, including medical, dental, vision, life/AD&D, disability, FSA/HSA, commuter, EAP, and fitness. Leave & Accommodations: Administer Clark’s leave of absence and job accommodation programs, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local mandates (including CA, DC, and WA state pay). Internal Consultation: Serve as a subject matter expert for benefits and LOA/ADA related inquiries from employees, managers, and the broader HR team. Compliance Oversight: Monitor and maintain federal and multi-state compliance requirements to ensure all plans meet regulatory standards. Qualifications

Language: Fluency in Spanish and English (required). Must be able to explain complex benefit plans and leave policies clearly in both languages.

Experience

3+ years of progressive benefits experience with a background in Leave of Absence (LOA), Disability, and ADA/ADAAA. Regulatory Expertise: 3+ years of experience with federal, state, and local sick, disability, and leave laws, specifically for California, DC, and Washington State. Compliance Knowledge: Deep understanding of federal requirements including ERISA, HIPAA, COBRA, and ACA. Interpersonal Skills: Proven ability to partner cross-functionally and communicate effectively with employees at all levels of the organization.

Experience

with Workday (strongly preferred) and proficiency in Google Suite (Sheets, Docs, Slides). Certifications: SHRM-CP/SCP, S/PHR, and/or CEBS certification. Analytical Skills: Strong data reconciliation skills and experience with funding requests/audits. Competencies Strategic Problem Solving: Self-starter with the ability to take initiative, own projects from start to finish, and negotiate favorable outcomes. Operational Excellence: Exceptional attention to detail and an insistence on accuracy; strong research and data analysis skills, including high proficiency in Excel. Volume Management: Proven ability to work independently, manage a high volume of LOA/ADA cases, and effectively prioritize tasks under tight deadlines. Team Player: Effectively partners with other team members on a variety of assignments. Communication & Influence: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to translate complex benefit and legal concepts into clear, actionable information for a diverse workforce.
