Benefits

Women, Infants and Children (WIC), a division of the Health Department This position will be located in Saratoga Springs Preference may be given to applicants who are bilingual in Spanish/English. The position will be for 8-20 hours per week and does not have benefits. The candidate selected for this position must be available to work: Monday and Tuesday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Wednesday 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM, Thursday & Friday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Must be willing to travel to outlying clinics. Valid Driver’s license required. Hourly wage starts at $17.63 per hour and will be determined by experience and qualifications.

Duties

will include: Make appointments for clients, ensuring they are given appropriate appointment(s) within required time frame; instruct clients on what they need to bring to the appointment; document required actions such as appointment attendance, notification of ineligibility, and instructions that were given. Participate in initial client screening to assess program eligibility by completing computer intake processes which includes verifying income, residence, and identity; ensure compliance with established policy and accuracy of required documentation. Measure and document height, weight and head circumference of clients according to policy; review calculated ages and computer-generated growth charts to ensure correct information; ensure premature data is accurate. Use strict infection control techniques and dispose of blood contaminated lancets and materials in compliance with OSHA regulations. Perform first aid and CPR as required in clinic. Clean and sanitize areas of the clinic that have been contaminated by body fluids; clean exam room areas and toys at the end of each shift. Clean and sanitize biochemical and anthropometric equipment per policy and maintain required documentation; assist with monthly calibrations on equipment. Issue food benefits per policy ensuring proper documentation. Perform data input relating to office functions. Receive and screen office visitors and telephone calls; refer clients and callers to appropriate divisions and other county agencies. Required

1. High school diploma or equivalent. 2. One (1) year of clerical or medical support experience. 3. Equivalent combinations of education and experience may also be considered. The Sheriff and deputies make arrests and prepare legal papers for Sheriff's sale. The Sheriff also oversees the County Jail. Surveyor The County Surveyor Office identifies and protects the section corner monuments that define record title (real property) interests. The Surveyor Office acts as a depository for all records of survey and is responsible for performing survey work for Utah County. Information Systems The Information Systems department provides technology support to all Utah County government agencies. This support includes acquisition, deployment and management of computer-based workstations, software applications, local and wide-area network infrastructure, security, and information use policy. Children's Justice Center The Children's Justice Center is a homelike facility which serves children and families who are experiencing the crisis and chaos that comes with the disclosure of significant physical or sexual abuse of a child. Human Resources The County Human Resources Office provides full Human Resource services including payroll and benefits for approximately 1,200 Utah County employees. Justice Court The Utah County Justice Court is established by Utah County and has the authority to deal with class B and C misdemeanors, violations of ordinances, small claims, and infractions committed within County jurisdiction. Public Works The Utah County Public Works Department is a multi-service Department within County government operating in the areas of Administration, Buildings, Engineering, Mapping, Motor Pool, Parks, Roads, Special Projects, Surveying and Telecommunications.
