Summary Job Description: Baptist Health is looking for a System Director, Community Pharmacy to join our Central Pharmacy Operations. This is a remote position that requires residency in KY or IN. Occasional travel to the Louisville area will be required. This role has direct oversight and responsibility for operations, staffing, and development for all community pharmacies located within hospitals and ambulatory medical clinics enterprise wide. Responsible for development and implementation of strategic initiatives pertaining to community pharmacy operations, procurement, clinical services, quality assurance and leadership development. Monitors key community pharmacy performance indicators, develops, and executes plans for improvement. Responsible for ensuring compliance with policies and procedures aimed at driving efficiencies and cost reduction, achieving excellence in clinical quality, assuring regulatory compliance, and providing outstanding patient experience. Accountable for delivering excellent patient experience at community pharmacy locations. Partners with Pharmacy Leadership to ensure smooth adoption of employee PBM workflows and formularies. Helps to ensure seamless operations for internal patient transitions between central and community pharmacies. Key Responsibilities and Essential Functions: Provides direction, expertise, and leadership for community pharmacy teams to optimize clinical programs, operational efficiencies, and patient experience. Uses business strategy and organizational knowledge to develop community pharmacy goals, objectives, and budgets in synergy with the healthcare system. Responsible for reviewing and presenting management reports including standard monthly operating reporting, productivity, benchmarking, etc. Collaborates with system patient safety leadership to develop quality initiatives, processes and tools for community pharmacy implementation. Minimum Education, Experience, Training and Licensures Required: Graduate of an accredited College of Pharmacy. Current Kentucky and Indiana Pharmacist License or eligible to obtain. 5+ years of related community pharmacy experience. 3+ years of related community pharmacy management experience. Completion of PGY-1/PGY-2 ASHP-accredited Pharmacy Residency in administration preferred. MBA or related Master’s degree relevant to pharmacy or management preferred. Board certification or other advanced certification preferred.
