Job Description Summary: Under general direction, the Compliance Officer for Research Security monitors and facilitates compliance with federal, state, and System research security governing standards, including but not limited to laws, regulations, statutes, codes, policies, procedures, rules, and directives.

Responsibilities

- Develops and maintains an effective and broad-based CUI compliance program. - Monitors CUI compliance with federal, state, and TAMUS regulatory standards. - Identifies potential areas of CUI compliance vulnerability and develops a plan of action to bring any non-compliant areas into compliance. - Provides reports on all CUI compliance efforts as needed; serves on committees as needed. - Coordinates directly with broad audiences including federal and private sponsors and internally with faculty and staff in administering CUI compliance. - Other duties as assigned.

Experience

- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience. - Five years of related experience in compliance programs and/or activities. Registration, Certifications, and Licenses: - Must be able to obtain a U.S. government security clearance.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

- Knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet and database applications. - Strong verbal and written communication skills. - Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others. Other
