Job Summary

Are you looking to build your clinical career in a fast-paced, team-oriented sports medicine environment? Newton-Wellesley’s Sports Medicine team is seeking a full-time Medical Assistant to support providers who care for athletes and active patients of all levels—from high school, college, and professional athletes to weekend and recreational athletes. Our specialists provide state-of-the-art outpatient surgical treatment using regional anesthesia for conditions of the shoulder, knee, and ankle. As part of this collaborative care team, you will play an important role in supporting patient visits, maintaining smooth clinical flow, and helping deliver an excellent care experience. Why Join Our Team? In this role, you will work closely with physicians, advanced practice providers, nurses, and fellow Medical Assistants in a highly collaborative support model. You will have the opportunity to work with a variety of patients across sports medicine and orthopedics.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent required. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred. Certified Medical Assistant credential preferred. 0–1 year of direct Medical Assistant experience or medical field experience preferred. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to prioritize tasks in a busy, fast-paced clinical environment. Strong accuracy, attention to detail, and follow-through. Ability to comply with all local, state, and federal privacy and confidentiality rules and regulations. Ability to take vital signs and manual blood pressure, and collect blood samples or other specimens as appropriate. Knowledge of medical terminology, procedures, and protocols. Comfort using electronic health record systems and medical office software. Strong time management, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.

Pay Range
