Job description

Anson County Landfill in Polkton, NC has an immediate opening for a safety-minded Diesel Mechanic who takes pride in maintaining equipment and helping keep our drivers and communities safe. What You'll Do Perform inspections, diagnostics, repairs, and preventative maintenance on diesel trucks and equipment. Repair electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake, and air systems. Utilize vehicle diagnostic software to identify and resolve issues. Review and complete repairs identified on Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports (DVIRs). Complete maintenance documentation using fleet software. Test drive equipment after repairs. Maintain a clean and safe work environment. Assist team members and perform other duties as assigned. What We're Looking For Minimum 2 years of experience required performing diesel equipment diagnostics, repairs, and preventative maintenance. Proficiency with diagnostic tools and equipment. Basic mechanic tool set. Class B CDL, preferred but not required Hydraulic experience is a plus.
