Job description
We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk / Scale House Attendant to join our team in Rayne, Louisiana. This position plays a key role in supporting daily accounting operations while serving as the first point of contact for customers at the scale house.
Responsibilities
include processing payments, accounts payable functions, customer service support, data entry, and providing backup assistance to the Customer Service Department. Schedule: Monday - Friday 8 am to 4:30 pm.

Scale House Operations Greet customers, drivers, and vendors in a professional and friendly manner. Accurately weigh and process incoming and outgoing loads. Collect and process customer payments, including cash, checks, and credit card transactions. Issue receipts, tickets, and related documentation. Maintain accurate scale records and transaction logs. Resolve customer inquiries regarding tickets, invoices, and payments. Accounting & Accounts Payable Process invoices and assist with accounts payable functions. Verify invoice accuracy and supporting documentation. Match purchase orders, receipts, and invoices as needed. Maintain vendor files and accounting records. Assist with month end reporting and reconciliations. Perform data entry with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail. Customer Service Support Provide backup coverage for the Customer Service Department. Answer incoming phone calls and respond to customer inquiries. Assist customers with account information, billing questions, and service requests. Support administrative and clerical tasks as needed.
Qualifications
2+ years of Accounts Payable experience required. 2+ years of Customer Service experience required. Proficient with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook. Strong data entry skills and attention to detail. Excellent communication and organizational skills. Strong problem solving and customer service skills.
