Based in Singapore and reporting to the Head of Tax, Asia, you will play a key role in advising the Wholesale Banking business on tax matters, supporting strategic initiatives, and ensuring effective tax risk management across multiple jurisdictions in Asia. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced tax professional looking to combine technical expertise, commercial acumen and regional exposure within a global banking environment. Role Summary As Manager / Vice President, Regional Tax, you will provide tax advisory support for ING's Wholesale Banking activities in Asia. The role is a replacement of existing position and will have a particular focus on Singapore, Hong Kong, Japan and South Korea. You will report to Head of Tax, Asia and there will be no staff reporting functionally to you. About the Team ING's Global Tax function is headquartered in the Netherlands. The Wholesale Banking Tax team in Asia comprises small, highly collaborative team of three based in Singapore that supports ING's banking operations across the region and reports to Head of Tax, Asia. Key

Responsibilities

Approve new product proposals and tax-driven structures, including conducting tax research and working with Front Office, internal stakeholders and external advisers to assess tax implications. Provide tax advice to Business Units on the tax implications of transactions, including withholding tax, tax treaty benefits and cross-border tax matters. Advise the business on global transfer pricing policies and documentation requirements, handle transfer pricing projects and queries, including BEPS Pillar Two initiatives, and ensure transfer pricing documentation is maintained across relevant locations. Partner closely with the Head of Transfer Pricing, Group Tax, Business Management and Finance teams on transfer pricing matters across the region. Lead discussions with Group Tax and relevant stakeholders regarding regional and global recharge arrangements, including Head Office and regional charges, and act as the key point of contact for related matters. Review and provide comments on tax clauses in agreements with clients. Implement and test controls, including SOX-related controls, for tax processes in Asia. Advise on and monitor tax issues relating to the establishment, restructuring and liquidation of entities. Provide tax advice and review agreements for strategic and ad hoc projects, including joint venture arrangements. Monitor tax developments across Asia, assess their impact on the business and communicate relevant implications and recommendations to CFOs and business stakeholders. Provide tax advice to CFOs and Finance teams in Hong Kong, Japan and South Korea on tax compliance matters, audits, enquiries, disputes and tax risk management. Review quarterly IFRS tax figures reported to Head Office for Hong Kong, Japan and South Korea. Review Singapore tax compliance matters, including: Corporate Income Tax returns and tax computations; Goods and Services Tax (GST) returns and compliance processes; Quarterly IFRS tax provisions and reporting; Minimum Top-up Tax (MTT) filings and Pillar Two obligations; Tax incentive applications and renewals; GST Assisted Compliance Assurance Programme (ACAP) reviews and renewals; and Tax audits, reviews, enquiries and correspondence with the Inland Revenue Authority of Singapore (IRAS). Experience

We are looking for an experienced tax professional who combines strong technical expertise with a pragmatic and business-oriented approach. Essential Graduate with recognised tax or accounting qualification. At least 10-12 years of relevant taxation experience. Strong knowledge of Singapore tax and international tax principles.

Experience

advising on cross-border transactions and tax matters. Knowledge of withholding taxes, tax treaties and transfer pricing. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills. Ability to engage confidently with senior management and business stakeholders. Fluent written and spoken English. Preferred

Experience

gained within banking or financial services. Exposure to transfer pricing, BEPS and Pillar Two initiatives.

Experience

managing tax audits, tax authority reviews and tax controversy matters across multiple jurisdictions.
