Strategic Procurement Specialist

This position reports to: Procurement & Logistics Manager ELSP __ Your role and responsibilities As a Strategic Procurement Specialist you will be responsible defining a proper source for purchasing of materials, equipment and services according to required technical specification, price, delivery schedule and terms. Most challenging part of the job it will be to manage to order and have all materials before the Project start, which usually it's with very tight time schedule. Each day, you will execute assigned activities as per ABB standard procedures. It will be expected also to work closely with global Procurement and R&D team to qualifying a new source for supplying materials from local market. You will also showcase your expertise by delivering and participating in training programs as required to ensure compliance and to foster professional development. The work model for the role is onsite. This role is contributing to the Electrification Smart Power Division - Low Voltage Switchgear. You will be mainly accountable for: Executing purchasing and logistics strategies to support the business by optimizing costs, quality, and reliability of suppliers and supplied products. Designing and implementing plans and effective strategies for local sourcing of products/materials to reach business targets. Supporting in implementing effective local sourcing strategies in line with business strategy to meet current and future business requirements. Applying and implementing procurement standards, tools, and processes in your area of responsibility to secure quality, delivery, cost, and sustainability. Qualifications for the role University degree Very good technical knowledge and competencies are preferred Experienced in terms of time and tasks management under short deadlines Knowledgeable and efficient work with databases in Excel and other MS Office programs and tools At least 2 years of experience in supply chain management and production environments, with familiarity in ERP systems (preferably SAP) and adherence to standard operating procedures Goal-oriented team player with strong problem-solving, negotiation, and interpersonal abilities Strong English communication skills—both written and spoken Building a cleaner, smarter future takes all kinds of minds: the curious, the courageous, and the creative.
