For more details, please visit : www.piramalpharmasolutions.com Job Title Associate General Manager-Supply Chain Job Description The Lead position is responsible for leading the procurement strategy, planning, and execution for large-scale engineering and capital projects across all network sites of PPS globally. This role ensures the alignment of procurement processes with corporate objectives & Piramal Success Factors, focusing on cost savings, supplier quality, innovation, and risk management. The incumbent will oversee selection of suppliers and contractors for major capital projects, monitoring performance, and mitigating risks. It also emphasizes cross-functional collaboration, budget management, compliance, and implementing best practices. KEY STAKEHOLDERS: INTERNAL: Project management, Engineering, EHS, Manufacturing, Quality, Research and Development (R&D), Finance, Legal, SCM, Regulatory Affairs, Information Technology (IT) EXTERNAL: Customers, Suppliers, Logistics and Transportation Partners, Regulatory Agencies, Consultants and Advisors REPORTING STRUCTURE: Reports To: Global Head of Project Procurement Direct Reports Y/N): Yes ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATION: •A Bachelor's degree in engineering (Civil / Mechanical / Production / Electrical etc.) •Preferably a Master's in Business Administration (MBA) or a Master's in Supply Chain Management. RELEVANT EXPERIENCE: •15+ years in engineering & projects procurement with knowledge on industry regulations, Preferably within Pharma / Healthcare sector and framework with strong analytical, Interpersonal, collaborative and communication skills •Should have handled Capital procurement activity independently and direct experience managing sourcing efforts across multiple sites or international geographies. •KEY ROLES/RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Supplier and Contract Management: •Identify, evaluate, and manage key suppliers, ensuring strong partnerships, quality standards, and on-time delivery for critical engineering projects. •Oversee the negotiation of contracts, including terms, pricing, service levels, and risk management provisions. •Establish risk management frameworks for supplier relationships, ensuring contingency planning and supplier risk mitigation. •Contractual Support: Work closely with legal and procurement teams on contract development, review, and execution to ensure compliance with corporate policies and regulatory standards. 2. Project Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement: •Collaborate closely with engineering, project management, finance, and legal teams to ensure procurement activities support project timelines, budgetary constraints, and compliance requirements. •Serve as a trusted advisor to executive leadership on procurement-related issues, trends, and opportunities for cost reduction and value creation. 3. Cost Control and Financial Performance: •Drive cost savings and value creation through strategic sourcing, supplier negotiations, and process improvements. •Oversee the budget for procurement-related expenses, tracking and reporting on performance to executive leadership. •Utilize analytics and data-driven insights to optimize procurement strategies and report on performance metrics. 4. Sustainability and Compliance: •Champion sustainable and ethical sourcing practices, ensuring alignment with the company’s environmental, social, and governance (ESG) goals. •Ensure compliance with all relevant legal, regulatory, and corporate policies across procurement activities. •Exceptional negotiation skills, with experience managing complex supplier relationships and contracts. •Strong analytical and financial acumen, with a focus on cost savings and value creation. •Familiarity with digital procurement tools, usage of AI / ML based models, Experience with procurement platforms (e.g., GEP SMART, SAP Ariba, Coupa) and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, S4HANA etc.). •Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels. •Deep understanding of engineering and capital project lifecycles. •Understanding of contract management procedures and legal compliance. •Knowledge of sustainability practices in procurement and sourcing. •Experience in implementing change management initiatives and continuous improvement programs.
