Service Technician
Job description
As part of our Manufacturing team, you’ll bring innovation to life, transforming visionary designs into world-class training solutions. You’ll play a key role in assembling, refining, and delivering products that support aviation and defence missions worldwide. Every detail you shape contributes to safety, precision, and performance. Description The Servicing Technician supports aircraft servicing and flight line operations to ensure aircraft are maintained in a safe, serviceable, and mission-ready condition. This role works onsite and collaborates closely with pilots, maintenance personnel, and operational teams to support daily aircraft activities.
Responsibilities
include: Marshal, park, secure, tow, and start aircraft. Refuel aircraft and replenish aircraft systems. Perform through-flight inspections to verify aircraft serviceability. Conduct visual inspections, including identifying leaks and reporting discrepancies. Collaborate with pilots to verify aircraft systems and flight controls are functioning correctly. Operate light special-purpose and general-purpose vehicles, including tow tractors and start carts. Configure aircraft for operational requirements, including solo and dual configurations. Prepare aircraft for static display. Clean aircraft, windscreens, and associated components. Inflate tires and perform authorized elementary servicing tasks. Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas required to perform assigned duties. Complete workplace inspections and housekeeping activities. Record maintenance and servicing activities in company systems, including Maintenix. Support operational requirements as assigned. Occasional travel to deployment sites may be required after approximately one year in the role. Minimum
Qualifications
Secondary school diploma (Grade 12) or equivalent. Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Basic computer skills and ability to learn maintenance tracking systems. Valid driver's license. Eligible to obtain and maintain a Government of Canada Reliability Security Clearance. Eligible to successfully complete a Controlled Goods Program assessment and satisfy applicable export-control requirements, including ITAR-related authorizations. Legally authorized to work in Canada.
Preferred Qualifications
1-2 years of work experience
Experience
in aviation, flight line operations, mechanical, electrical, production, transportation, agricultural equipment, automotive, heavy equipment, or related environments considered an asset. Outdoor work experience. Demonstrated mechanical / technical skills
