Field Service Engineer
Job description
Job Description Field Service Engineer (FSE) specializing in LC, LCMS, and Laboratory Informatics solutions, for Visakhapatnam, Andra Pradesh. Responsible for providing on-site customer support for Agilent, Liquid Chromatography (LC), Liquid Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry (LCMS), and Laboratory Informatics solutions.
Duties
include installation, implementation, qualification, maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and optimization of hardware, software, and network-integrated laboratory systems, Installs, configures, and validates (IQ/OQ) LC, LCMS, and Laboratory Informatics platforms at customer laboratories, ensuring compliance with operational and regulatory requirements. Diagnoses and resolves instrument, software, workflow, and system performance issues to minimize downtime and maintain laboratory productivity. Performs preventive maintenance, repairs, calibrations, and system upgrades to ensure optimal performance and reliability of laboratory instruments and informatics solutions. Drives customer satisfaction by providing technical guidance on system operation, preventive maintenance practices, software configurations, and workflow optimization. Proactively identifies and addresses potential instrument, software, or network-related issues to prevent unplanned interruptions to laboratory operations. Delivers and supports integrated laboratory solutions that may include LC, LCMS, Laboratory Informatics platforms, data management systems, operating systems, networking components, and related peripherals. Acts as a technical resource for customers and internal teams, managing product escalations and collaborating with Agilent Support, Sales, Marketing, Application Scientists, and R&D teams to provide effective customer solutions. Maintains knowledge of complementary third-party laboratory instruments, software applications, and integrated workflows to support diverse customer environments. Conducts technical training sessions, maintenance workshops, and knowledge-sharing seminars for customers and field service personnel on LC, LCMS, and Laboratory Informatics solutions. Mentors and trains fellow field engineers and customer users on best practices, troubleshooting methodologies, and system operation. Performs on-site calibration, qualification, and compliance-related activities for high-volume and regulated laboratory environments.
Qualifications
Master’s degree in chemistry/Analytical Chemistry/Instrumentation/Pharmacy/Biotechnology/Life Science or equivalent Relevant
Experience
in handling of analytical instruments - LC/LCMS and Laboratory Informatics Relevant
Experience
