Responsibilities
Design and integrate: be part of the team in charge designing the Control system, protection system, Electrical distribution, telecom & monitoring of a High voltage substation. It can be for example through single line diagram, schematic diagram, protection system, electrical consumption and design of auxiliary services, interlocking, communication & network: it’s a wild domain with a lot of possibilities. Initiate & support the procurement of equipment. Coordinate with other engineering disciplines to ensure the integration into the overall substation design. Oversee the commissioning and testing of Low voltage systems. Provide technical support to customers and project teams. Manage team’s workload Decide to manage design in house or subcontracted, subcontractor selection and evaluation What you bring: To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a related field. Several years of experience in the design of substations control, cabinet in a EPC project environment.
Experience
with CAD software and substation design tools is a plus. In-depth knowledge of substation control system design, or electrical distribution, ancillary services, industry standards, and regulations. Familiarity with Substation Layout is advantageous. Proficiency in using design and simulation, calculation software. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and convey complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders. Meticulous attention to detail to ensure designs meet safety, performance, sustainability, and compliance requirements. Basic project management skills, including the ability to manage priorities, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing project requirements.
