This position will be located located in Roy, UT and will support the Sentinel program. This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package. What You Will Get To Do: The selected candidate will become a Principal/Sr. Principal Civil Design Engineer on the Infrastructure Design Team (INF). This role supports the design, modeling, and integration efforts for Civil/Structural elements for Sentinel Launch Facilities, Launch Centers, or Test Facilities. Responsible for overseeing and coordinating civil/structural systems design for the Sentinel infrastructure and facilities. Subject matter expert supporting the design of high complexity civil/structural systems, including structural steel design drawings, concrete forming and reinforcing design drawings. Interpret and verify industry standards, guidelines, and codes for project deliverables. Participate in project design/model reviews. Review subcontractors design product quality/accuracy by reviewing civil/structural designs and validating that current standards are applied and integrated into the design solution. Support the delivery of Civil/Structural facility design Technical Data Packages, Issue-for-Construction (IFC) packages, as-built TDPs, PDPs, interface models, and additional design artifacts. Supporting structured trade studies to evaluate alternative design solutions to resolve technical issues. Developing and presenting design change requests, coordinating with impacted internal and external stakeholders, and ensuring configuration control of the technical baseline. Identifying risks and opportunities associated with or driven by design factors and executing handling/mitigation/capture actions to reduce risk or realize opportunities. Developing and maturing Civil/Structural facility designs that meet Weapon System requirements, UFC, MIL-STD, and other applicable codes and regulations. Position

Qualifications
This role can be filled at the Principal Structural Engineer (T03) or Sr. Principal Structural Engineer (T04) level. Principal Structural Engineer: Bachelor's degree in Science or STEM with 5 years of experience; or Master's degree with 3 years of experience; or PhD with 0 years of experience. Must be a US Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance U.S. Citizenship with the ability to obtain Special Program Access (SAP). Knowledge and/or experience with structural analysis of structures, utility connduit and connections. Professional knowledge of structures, statics, strength of materials, structural dynamics principles, and methods. Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with adjacent disciplines (e.g. systems engineering, aerodynamics, stress analysis, design, test) in a highly integrated team environment.
Experience
with review of structural calculations, Basis of Design, construction drawings and specifications, logic plans, preferably with aerospace structures. Sr. Principal Structural Engineer: Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university with 8 years of experience, 6 years of experience with Master's degree, 4 years of experience with PhD. Must be a US Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance U.S. Citizenship with the ability to obtain Special Program Access (SAP). Knowledge and/or experience with structural analysis of structures, utility connduit and connections. Professional knowledge of structures, statics, strength of materials, structural dynamics principles, and methods. Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with adjacent disciplines (e.g. systems engineering, aerodynamics, stress analysis, design, test) in a highly integrated team environment.
Experience

Preferred Qualifications
Structural Engineer Professional Engineering Registration or Structural Engineer Professional Engineering Registration/SE. Excellent interpersonal, written communication, and presentation skills, including the ability to clearly and succinctly communicate complex concepts and technical concepts to internal and external stakeholders. Exposure to structural test applications.
Experience
with seismic analysis (ASCE 7-16).
Experience
with Uniform Facility Criteria, Uniform Facilities Guide Specifications.
Experience
applying AISC and ACI 318.
Experience
developing and maturing Civil/Structural facility designs that meet Weapon. System requirements, UFC, MIL-STD, and other applicable codes and regulations. Proficiency with Revit, Siemens NX and Teamcenter.
Experience
with Finite Element Analysis and Modeling (ANSYS, GTStrudl, ABAQUS, STAAD).
Experience
with Microsoft (MS) Word, Excel, Power Point, and Engineering Scheduling tools and applications. Must be able to work independently, function in a dynamic environment, and be flexible to changing direction. Primary Level Salary Range: $98,400.00 - $147,600.00 Secondary Level Salary Range: $122,800.00 - $184,200.00 The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
