Overview: This Senior Administrative Assistant role, supporting our the Chief Growth Officer and our Chief Customer Insights & Analytics Officer, serves as a highly skilled, trusted partner supporting the effectiveness of the Growth Marketing organization. This elevated administrative role blends expert management of complex scheduling, travel, and expense administration with proactive, thoughtful support that helps drive organization, alignment, and operational excellence. By enabling seamless coordination and providing support to the Growth Marketing leadership team, this role plays an important part in ensuring leaders are positioned to focus on strategic priorities and deliver results. Responsibilities
Serve as a liaison between manager and bank personnel, responding to questions and issues on departmental matters. Creates non-routine correspondence and communications on behalf of manager. Perform high level administrative / project assignments, relieving management of many day-to-day operations and ensuring smooth functioning of department. Prepare and arrange business presentations, management letters, and other communications to include agendas, meeting minutes. Schedule appointments and maintain calendar for manager. Coordinate all travel arrangements. Prepare disbursements and billings for approval. Maintains financial expense records. Adhere to applicable compliance/operational risk controls in accordance with Company or regulatory standards and policies. Promote an environment that supports belonging and reflects the M&T Bank brand. Maintain M&T internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators as applicable. Complete other related duties as assigned.
Education
and
Experience
Required: Associate's degree or equivalent in experience 4 years progressive secretarial/administrative support experience with demonstrated development of skills on-the-job
Experience
supporting senior staff members highly preferred. Team player with the ability to work with other inter-departmental administrative assistants as well as other administrative assistants on other teams within the bank.
Experience
managing Outlook calendars for senior leaders. Travel management experience.
Experience
booking/managing travel arrangements & addressing needed travel arrangement changes for senior leaders Extensive Microsoft Office Suite experience, especially with Word & Outlook. Expense Management experience. SAP Concur or other expense & travel management system(s) experience. Highly organized, able to prioritize, manage urgent tasks/requests & able to meet deadlines. Strong written & verbal communication skills. Self-starter who takes initiatives. Strong critical thinking & problem-solving skills.
