Job Title: Post Doctoral Scholar Department: Arts and Sciences | Psychology The Clinical Neuroscience Lab is directed by Dr. Ruchika Prakash. The laboratory is funded by the National Institute on Aging and the National Multiple Sclerosis Society to conduct mind-body interventions for healthy older adults and individuals with multiple sclerosis, respectively. The postdoctoral associate will be working on recently completed randomized controlled trials examining the efficacy of mindfulness meditation and exercise interventions for cognitive and brain functioning. Additionally, several new projects, including real-time neurofeedback training, development of web-based mindfulness interventions, and a pilot exercise training trial are underway. The postdoctoral associate will have flexibility in choosing their topic(s) of interest. The successful candidate will also be involved in dissemination of the lab’s work through peer-reviewed manuscripts, conference presentations, and outreach to the public. Required
Education
Doctorate (Academic) with a Major in Psychology, Neuroscience, Biomedical Engineering, Kinesiology, or a closely related field Required
Qualifications
Ph.D. in Psychology, Neuroscience, Biomedical Engineering, Kinesiology, or a closely related field by the start date of the appointment. Demonstrated expertise in quantitative data analysis, including advanced statistical modeling (e.g., mixed-effects models, longitudinal analyses, mediation/moderation approaches).
Experience
working with randomized controlled trial (RCT) data or intervention research. Demonstrated record of peer-reviewed publications, including first-author manuscripts. Strong scientific writing skills with evidence of manuscript preparation and submission.
Experience
presenting research at national or international conferences. Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team-based research environment. Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience
with neuroimaging data analysis (e.g., MRI preprocessing, statistical modeling, familiarity with tools such as FSL, SPM, AFNI, or similar platforms). Proficiency in statistical programming (e.g., R, Python, MATLAB).
