Position Purpose: The Category Strategy, Insights and Analytics team contributes to long-term growth for Lindt USA and the chocolate category by leading pivotal shopper research projects, mining data and insights and developing the strategic roadmap for premium category growth. This role reports into the Lindt USA Wholesale team and is highly cross-functional, regularly collaborating with Field Category Management, Brand Marketing, and Sales. The Category Insights Manager is responsible for supporting the development and implementation of the category vision both internally in partnership with the Marketing Team and externally in partnership with the Field Category and Sales Teams.

Responsibilities
Mine data sources including primary research, IRI, customer databases, and external reports to identify relevant and compelling insights. Translate insights into category and shopper strategies to drive long term growth. The insights and stories crafted by this individual will serve as the foundation for retailer specific selling stories across all classes of trade. Support the seasonal and drive period selling process including identifying emerging category trends, developing pre-sales projections (market share/consumption), and creating overarching selling stories to support national sales deployment meetings. Partner closely with senior management, field sales, and customer category teams to develop long term growth plans for key customers. Build-out strategic rationale supported by insights to communicate category growth opportunities to retailers. Support the Brand team throughout the year with requested data and insights related to growth or brand initiatives. This includes the annual Growth Plan Dialogue process, quarterly category trends reporting and maintaining the Insights Library. Be a core part of the roll-out and implementation of the Lindt Category & Merchandising Visions, including leading the Lindt USA Perfect Store initiative, to provide executional guidance to the sales teams in support of the merchandising and category visions. Collaborate with Brand Marketing, sharing relevant insights and ensuring that Brand portfolio and activation plans align with identified Category growth strategies.

Skills & Knowledge: 5-10 years CPG experience required. Category management experience preferred. Shopper or consumer research experience required. CPG analytics experience required.
Education
Bachelor's degree required. Starting pay is determined using a wide range of factors including, but not limited to, job-related skills, knowledge, and experience as well as market conditions. A bonus and/or long-term incentive may be included as part of this compensation package.
