Lead Technology Product Manager, Clinical Decision Support Adoption & Engagement Analytics
Job description
Help product teams understand how clinicians and care teams engage with UpToDate's clinical decision support products. At Wolters Kluwer Health, the UpToDate suite supports millions of clinical decisions every day. As we continue to evolve our CDS and AI-enabled experiences, we need clear insight into what users engage with, which interactions drive meaningful action, where workflows lose momentum, and how product changes affect adoption and value. As Lead Product Analyst, CDS Adoption & Engagement, you will focus on adoption, engagement, funnel behavior, and usage patterns across clinical decision support products. You will partner closely with Product, Engineering, Design, Analytics, Commercial, and customer-facing teams to turn product data into clear insights, better decisions, and measurable improvements. This is not a reporting-only role. You will be expected to query product usage data directly, investigate patterns, and translate analysis into practical recommendations. What You'll Do Define and maintain adoption, engagement, funnel, and usage metrics for CDS products. Query product usage data to analyze clicks, actions, user journeys, drop-offs, cohorts, segments, and usage patterns. Analyze what users engage with, which interactions drive downstream action, and where workflows lose momentum. Build dashboards and recurring views that help product teams monitor product performance and user behavior. Partner with Product Managers to define success metrics for launches, pilots, MVPs, and experiments. Identify insights that inform roadmap priorities, UX improvements, content needs, commercialization, and adoption strategies. Help improve instrumentation and metric definitions so teams can rely on consistent, high-quality product data. Translate analysis into clear recommendations for product, leadership, commercial, and customer-facing teams. What You'll Bring 5+ years of experience in product analytics, data analytics, business analytics, product operations, or a related role. Strong ability to write queries independently using SQL or comparable data-querying tools.
Experience
analyzing adoption, engagement, funnel metrics, click behavior, cohorts, segments, and usage patterns and generating insights that contribute to the product development strategy. Comfort working with event-level product telemetry, data models, and imperfect instrumentation. Ability to turn ambiguous product questions into structured analyses and actionable insights.
Experience
building dashboards, recurring reports, or self-serve product analytics views. Strong communication skills and ability to explain data clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
Experience
partnering closely with Product, Engineering, Design, Analytics, Commercial, or Customer Success teams. Preferred Background
Experience
with healthcare, clinical workflow, enterprise SaaS, AI-enabled products, search, content products, or decision-support tools. Familiarity with experimentation, A/B testing, product telemetry, event instrumentation, or customer journey analytics.
Experience
with modern data platforms and business intelligence tools.
Experience
analyzing qualitative and quantitative feedback together. What Success Looks Like Product teams have clear, trusted metrics for CDS adoption, engagement, funnels, and usage patterns. PMs understand which interactions and workflows drive meaningful user action. Usage analysis identifies opportunities to improve clinician and care team satisfaction, workflow fit, and repeat engagement. Launches and experiments have clear success metrics and post-launch performance visibility. Leadership has a clearer view of how CDS products are being used and where investment is creating value.
