We’re seeking someone to join our team as an Associate to act as a subject matter expert on required AML/ KYC documents and process. In the Operations division, we partner with business units across the Firm to support financial transactions, devise and implement effective controls and develop client relationships, driving strategic automation solutions by embracing a transformation mindset and challenging the status quo. This is a Professional position at Associate within Core Services, which is responsible for managing internal and external client relationships. We do this by engaging in client service activities, optimizing the client experience, and managing vendor/external business partner relationships. What you'll do in the role: Execute processes/functions and/or support process management and project efforts, leveraging knowledge of the systems, markets and instruments that influence the team Recognize risk in day-to-day processes to draw out the key issues and contribute to process improvements Build relationships within team and internal stakeholders, sharing knowledge to contribute to team output Participate in projects and initiatives, aiding in solution formulation with a focus on timely execution Perform event trigger validation in accordance with the Firm’s policies and procedures, ensuring outcomes are accurate, fully supported, and completed within required timelines Escalate appropriately any risks, data discrepancies, or process issues identified during the trigger validation review process Update Firm systems and databases with complete and accurate information and documentation in accordance with internal processes, policies, and record management standards Work closely with GFC/FCR to address discrepancies within internal data and support consistent data quality across the review population Partner with other teams to collect required evidence and associated information to meet regulatory, internal policy, and documentation requirements Ensure feedback following checker review is addressed accurately and in a timely manner What we’re looking for: Ability to establish clear goals and priorities, and address non-standard issues within area of expertise with minimal guidance and supervision Subject matter expertise in business areas supported, client requirements, and ability to ensure control is not compromised to comply with client requests Culture carrier across Operations, embracing the Firm's core values Sound risk and control mindset, excellent judgement, and ability to prioritize work to meet required timelines Strong written and oral communication skills, with the ability to engage internal and external stakeholders clearly and effectively Ability to maintain accurate records, manage data responsibly, and support audit-ready documentation standards Previous experience working in an AML/KYC role, preferably within case management, quality control, data management, or related operational review activities At least 2 years' relevant experience would generally be expected to find the skills required for this role WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT FROM MORGAN STANLEY: At Morgan Stanley, we raise, manage and allocate capital for our clients – helping them reach their goals.
