Responsibilities

Process new items and rotate stock on shelf as needed. Notifies of any discrepancies or damages regarding the incoming materials. Maintain and order oxygen and related gases as required Ability to function proficiently within all areas of materials process & distribution. Receive incoming materials, supplies and equipment; compare information on packing slip to verify accuracy and quantity noting any corrections; record discrepancies or damages in shipment and notify supervisor. Direct stock into proper location and rotate stock as necessary. Store and stack items in the prescribed location within Materials Management Department Organize and maintain receiving records, both electronic and hard-copy Maintain contact with general staff to resolve discrepancies. Ensure timely delivery, receipt, accuracy, and accountability of all incoming materials. Ensure the recipient signs for delivered materials and supplies and return signed delivery sheets for filing as required. Expedite materials and equipment by USPS, UPS, FedEx or common carrier. Inspect all contents inside packages. Packing slip must correspond with the purchase order. Correct packing string Vendor and vendors’ product # must correspond with the purchase order and the quantity ordered Prepare returned packages for shipment by FedEx and UPS. Pack, seal, weigh and prepare paperwork. Assure that all parcels are shipped out as required. Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of assigned work area and maintain supply areas according to regulatory standards. Follow all directions and complete all job tasks given to you by the management team. Support all improvement decisions made by the management team Work cooperatively and politely with others within the department and throughout the hospital to promote teamwork necessary for a productive and harmonious work environment. Support your other department members as needed. Experience

Required: High school graduate or equivalent: written and verbal English skills at a 12th grade level. Computer literacy required Passing data clerical accuracy testing Registration/Certification: N/A Physical/Environmental

Requirements

This job requires frequent bending, carrying, pulling, pushing, reaching, standing, stooping, walking and lifting over 10 lbs. There will be occasional need for climbing stairs, lifting in excess of 50 – 100 lbs and sitting. Constant use of hearing, sight and speech. Frequent use of smell and touch. Pay Range

$17.69 - $29.77 This position is covered by a collective bargaining agreement. The pay range listed for this position is the base hourly wage range the organization reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this position at this time. The pay range for this position is established and governed by the terms of the applicable collective bargaining agreement. Employees hired into this position will receive compensation consistent with the terms of the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
