Anderson University Physical Plant invites applications for a 12-month, full-time, HVAC Technician III to join the Department of Campus Facilities. Under the general supervision of the Physical Plant Supervisor, the HVAC Technician III will perform a variety of skilled and semi-skilled troubleshooting, maintenance, modification, and repair work in specialized maintenance operations areas such as HVAC, electrical, and plumbing to ensure that the infrastructure of the University is maintained for safe and effective working conditions. Successful candidates will be able to perform a variety of semi-skilled construction, maintenance, modification, and repair activities in assigned maintenance operations areas. The ability to perform physical and manual tasks in indoor and outdoor environments and operate hand and power tools in a safe and effective manner is essential to this position. HVAC Technician is the experienced-level class requiring 3+ yrs exp. in the Maintenance Technician Series A high school diploma or GED is required in addition to knowledge and/or experience with HVAC, electrical, plumbing and other basic maintenance trades. A technical degree in related field is preferred.
