Job description
Location Remote, US Scheduled Hours 40 Position Summary Operates with greater independence, leading requirements-gathering sessions, owning specific assigned data products within a domain, and partnering closely with data engineering and governance teams. Moves beyond individual analysis tasks to take responsibility for data quality rules, product ownership, and iterative product delivery for a defined set of products (not entire domains). Guides DA I staff, contributes to proof-of-concept (POC) work, and delivers data product enablement training to the business. Thinks beyond task completion to value delivered. Responsibilities
Designs and executes complex diagnostic and trend analyses across multiple systems and data sources. Owns dashboard and report development for assigned products; manage release cycles and documentation. Develops analytical logic and data models in close partnership with data engineers. Leads proof-of-concept (POC) work to evaluate new analytical approaches, tools, or platforms. Identifies and implements opportunities for process improvement and automation. Independently leads stakeholder interviews and requirements-gathering sessions for assigned products. Translates complex business needs into clear data specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria. Owns backlog refinement and feature prioritization for assigned product initiatives. Documents workflows, decision logic, and future-state process designs. Partners with the Data Product Lead and data engineers to sequence and deliver analytical capabilities. Defines and implement data quality rules for assigned products. Develops and maintains data dictionaries, metadata standards, and lineage documentation. Plans and executes QA and UAT for assigned data products; validate analytical outputs prior to release. Contributes to and enforces enterprise data governance practices and stewardship processes. Informally mentors and guides DA I staff on analytical methods, tools, and best practices. Delivers training to business users on data products and data literacy concepts. Prepares presentations and written reports for leadership; communicates insights that drive decisions. Participates actively in agile ceremonies, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
