Electrical Engineer III – Project Execution (Western Interstates)

As an Electrical Engineer III, you’ll manage complex projects that directly impact operations. You’ll apply your expertise to design solutions, troubleshoot issues, and drive innovation. Expect to lead small teams, collaborate across disciplines, and deliver clear presentations to stakeholders. Your ability to balance technical depth with project leadership makes you a key contributor to our success. Responsibilities/Expectations Works on the design, implementation, and optimization of electrical systems and power distribution networks supporting critical infrastructure such as pipelines, compressor stations, and storage facilities. Promotes the integration of advanced technologies including automation, real-time monitoring, and energy storage to enhance system performance and reduce operational costs. Implements robust safety measures such as arc flash mitigation and fault detection systems to protect personnel and ensure infrastructure reliability. Provides technical expertise in power distribution, electrical schematics, and system layouts for both new construction and upgrades to existing facilities. Participates in complex engineering projects from concept to completion, ensuring alignment with business goals, timelines, and budget constraints. Ensures compliance with all relevant safety, environmental, and regulatory standards across electrical systems and project execution. Collaborates with cross-functional teams to deliver engineering solutions that meet internal and external customer needs. Other duties as assigned. Education/years of experience Required: Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering field from an ABET accredited college or university and four (4) years engineering experience in natural gas, data centers, or related industry. Knowledge of reviewing arc flash studies and implementing improvements. Working knowledge of electrical design codes (NEC, NEMA, API, IEEE, etc.).
