We are seeking an Associate Scientist to join our Product Biochemistry group, supporting biotherapeutic characterization programs in an on-site capacity in Tarrytown, NY. In this role, you will perform in-depth biochemical and biophysical characterization of protein- and oligonucleotide-based therapeutics, contributing to method development, assay support, and GxP stability testing, while collaborating with cross-functional teams spanning research, pre-clinical, and clinical programs. Requirements

Full-time, standard business hours, with flexibility to support before- and after-hours as needed Discover your role: Perform biochemical and biophysical characterization experiments using techniques such as CE, SEC-MALS, DLS, FT-IR, fluorescence spectroscopy, CD, and DSF Develop, optimize, and run light scattering–based assays with manager guidance to support molecule characterization Analyze and interpret experimental data, identifying trends and communicating key findings to project teams Document laboratory activities and data accurately in electronic laboratory notebooks per established procedures Write SOPs, summaries of analysis, and reports within a GxP-controlled environment Prepare clear, well-organized summaries of results for presentations, reports, and regulatory-supporting documentation Present experimental findings at group, departmental, and cross-functional meetings Maintain, troubleshoot, and operate essential lab instrumentation, ensuring equipment and supplies stay ready for use This role might be for you if: You enjoy working in a fast-paced environment You're a fast learner with a desire to expand your skill set and learn new techniques You're detail-oriented, well-organized, and comfortable managing multiple tasks You're a team player who also works well independently You communicate clearly, both in writing and verbally You bring scientific curiosity and a genuine interest in learning new technologies This role requires: Bachelor's degree in Biochemistry, Biophysics, Chemical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or related discipline with approximately 0-5 years of post-degree lab experience, or Master's degree with approximately 0-3 years of post-degree lab experience Hands-on experience with general laboratory operations and data organization under managerial supervision Fundamental proficiency in analytical methodologies such as SEC, UV-Vis spectrophotometry, and spectroscopic-based methods (CD, FT-IR) Understanding of biochemical and biophysical characterization principles for proteins and/or oligonucleotides Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks while maintaining proper documentation Preferred / nice-to-haves:

Experience

with additional analytical platforms such as HPLC/UPLC, light scattering (SEC-MALS, DLS), CD spectroscopy, fluorescence, FT-IR, and DSF Exposure to analytical method development and assay optimization Familiarity with late-stage development, comparability, or regulatory-supporting studies

working in a GxP lab and following SOPs
