Essential Functions
Provide medical and surgical office front desk support to Surgical practice. Greet patients, collect co-pays, answer telephones, schedule patient appointments and testing, ensure necessary referrals are in place, verify and update patient demographics into electronic health record. Escort patient to exam room for provider during clinic. Schedule appointments, ancillary testing and surgery Request prior authorizations for medical procedures/diagnostic exams and surgery. Refer medical questions to appropriate sources (Physician, Manager, or Director. Prepare end of day cash/copay reports. Submit billing to our billing vendor with appropriate supporting documentation. Respond to billing companies requests for documentation or clarification of charges. Participate in special projects as identified by the Physician, Manager or Director Minimum
Requirements
High School Diploma or equivalent Proficiency with computers and medical terminology preferred
Pay Range
$19.52 - $26.28 The pay range listed for this position is the base hourly wage range the organization reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this position at this time. Actual compensation is determined based on several factors, that may include seniority, education, training, relevant experience, relevant certifications, geography of work location, job responsibilities, or other applicable factors permissible by law. Compensation may exceed the base hourly rate depending on shift differentials, call pay, premium pay, overtime pay, and other additional pay practices, as applicable to the position and in accordance with the law.
