Duties

Temporary roles vary in nature and scope. These roles are short-term and long-term, but are not permenant. Roles are not eligible for the same benefits as regular employees.

Essential Functions

Procurement, preparation and maintenance of materials and equipment to support laboratory instruction. Work with faculty to arrange for preparation of reagents and gathering and arranging of equipment for all lab courses. Maintain the cleanliness of prep-lab, instructional labs, and storage areas in collaboration with faculty members and work-study students. Coordinate efforts of work-study students to assist with preparation of labs and clean-up of teaching and preparatory lab spaces. Develop and maintain a chemical inventory. Coordinate the storage and disposal of biological and chemical waste with EHS.

Should have experience preparing solutions, using microscopes and balances in a general laboratory setting.
