About this role Responsible for the development of marketing and promotional campaigns for a wide range of internal clients, working with creative staff to determine the best way to present information and creative strategies to advance the College brand to internal and external audiences. Directs external marketing campaigns and works with vendors to ensure effectiveness, brand consistency and brand awareness initiatives. What a day of a Marketing Director looks like: Executes on the vision for the College’s strategic integrated marketing and advertising campaigns that focus on branding and enrollment. Develops, creates, and implements data-driven marketing strategies and campaigns that encompass a variety of digital and traditional marketing techniques including advertising, digital lead generation, paid social media, relationship marketing, managed content, and other current communications practices. Serves as subject matter expert for search engine marketing (SEM), oversees the paid search budget, and collaborates with team members to drive traffic and customers, and maximize return on investment (ROI), Develops SEM campaigns that expand the generation of leads and conversion rates. Manages all paid search campaigns on various search and display marketing engines. Manages the creation and use of internal and external branding for the campus, including print advertising, print marketing materials, video, digital advertising, website, and static displays. Ensures accuracy and consistency in all campus publications and promotions produced by the office by establishing standards for writing style, copy development, and design and encouraging other departments throughout the campus to comply. Assists departments with their projects and events by coordinating advertising and providing resources and expertise related to student recruitment, community relations, alumni relations, marketing, and promotional items, etc. Ensures the quality of the marketing department by recruiting and hiring qualified applicants, providing training in departmental operations and individual duties, assigning work projects as appropriate, supervising, and evaluating marketing, advertising, social media, digital marketing, and photography. Ensures fiscally-sound operation of the marketing department by exercising management practices which result in operating within allocated budget. Maintains current knowledge of field and profession. Attends training workshops, conferences, meetings, and professional association events outside of college locations as needed. Develops and maintains positive relations with the internal and external community to promote College partnerships and collaboration. Performs other job-related duties as assigned. Master’s degree in marketing, journalism, advertising, communications, public relations, or related field of study Six years of experience in marketing, communications, branding, copywriting or public relations
