The Opportunity This position supports Abbott's global commercial operations across Diagnostics, Nutrition, Diabetes Care, and Established Pharmaceuticals businesses. As the Manager, IT SAP Support, you will lead SAP and related business systems support teams, ensuring stable, reliable, and high-performing business operations while partnering with business stakeholders and global IT teams worldwide. What You'll Work On Lead the intake, prioritization, and resolution of SAP production support tickets across S/4HANA functional areas. Ensure support services are delivered within agreed service level expectations and drive continuous improvements in service quality and efficiency. Manage Hypercare activities for major SAP implementations, including support readiness, user enablement, metrics reporting, and exit criteria management. Build strong partnerships with business stakeholders and the SAP Center of Excellence to ensure operational excellence and customer satisfaction. Lead and develop a team of employees and contractors, ensuring appropriate resource planning, coaching, and performance management. Review and approve change requests, risk assessments, system outage communications, and operational performance reporting. Manage operational budgets and ensure compliance with IT governance, quality, and regulatory requirements, including FDA and GxP standards. Required
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or a related discipline. 10 years of IT experience with increasing responsibility in SAP support, delivery, or project management. Hands-on experience supporting SAP environments, including S/4HANA, ECC, Sales & Distribution (SD), FI/CO, Materials Management (MM), Warehouse Management (WM), and EDI. Strong stakeholder management and communication skills with the ability to work across technical and business teams.
Preferred Qualifications
Prior experience in the healthcare, pharmaceutical, medical device, or life sciences industry.
Experience
leading geographically dispersed teams in a global organization. Proven success working in complex, matrixed environments. Strong leadership, coaching, and people development capabilities.
Experience
