About the Role As Regional Capital Portfolio Director – Australia, based at our Perth Office, you will play a pivotal leadership role in shaping the strategy, governance and delivery performance of Alcoa’s Australian Capital Portfolio. This is an opportunity to influence investment priorities across multiple operations, build regional capability, and help deliver safe, reliable and value-focused outcomes for one of Australia’s leading resources businesses. Lead the Australian capital strategy, balancing investment priorities, risk and value across multiple operating sites. Provide executive oversight of the Baseload Capital Portfolio including sustaining, regulatory, safety, reliability and value-creating capital projects. Strengthen capital governance, decision gates, project controls, cost management, scheduling, risk management and reporting. Partner with operational, finance, procurement, engineering and global capital project leaders to align priorities and improve delivery outcomes. Develop regional capability, support talent growth and build strong relationships with engineering and construction partners. What’s on offer Attractive remuneration and variable bonus plan. What you can bring to the role Extensive leadership experience in capital projects, engineering or asset-intensive industries, with accountability for multi-site regional portfolios. Demonstrated success leading large, complex teams and working with external engineering and construction partners. Strong expertise in capital project execution, project governance, front-end loading, project controls and portfolio management. Proven ability to influence strategy at enterprise and executive level while staying connected to operational delivery realities. A strong track record of improving safety, cost, schedule and value outcomes in complex industrial environments. An engineering degree, significant project management experience or qualifications, and heavy industrial experience.
