About the Role As Business Development Manager, you will play a key role in identifying and securing new business opportunities to drive growth across Scotland, Northern Ireland, and North East & North Cumbria ICB. Working across our portfolio working with brands such as Jobst®, Cutimed®, Leukoplast® and Actimove®, you will focus on developing opportunities across both acute and community healthcare settings, building strong relationships with key decision-makers, clinical stakeholders, procurement teams, and healthcare professionals. You will identify market opportunities, develop strategic account plans, negotiate contracts, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver sustainable business growth while improving patient outcomes. Reporting to the Community Regional Sales Manager, this is a permanent, field-based role with a requirement to live within the territory. Regular travel throughout the region will be required, including overnight stays and occasional travel outside the territory for meetings, training, and conferences. What You Will Do Identify, develop, and secure new business opportunities across acute and community healthcare settings. Grow existing accounts while acquiring new customers and expanding market share across the territory. Build strong relationships with decision makers and key clinical stakeholders. Identify new sales opportunities through prospecting, networking, market analysis, and customer engagement. Leverage data, technology, and internal systems to inform strategic business development decisions and maximise opportunities. Create and deliver compelling presentations, business cases, and proposals that demonstrate the clinical and commercial value of our wound care and compression therapy solutions. Negotiate contracts and successfully close business opportunities. Manage the sales pipeline, including forecasting, opportunity tracking, and performance reporting. Ensure successful implementation of new business wins by collaborating closely with internal teams and supporting customers throughout the onboarding process. Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and healthcare developments to identify emerging opportunities. Who You Are This role would suit an experienced Account Manager or Business Development Manager who enjoys developing new business opportunities and building strategic relationships within the wound care and compression sector. We are particularly interested in candidates who can demonstrate: Experience within medical device sales environments, with experience in woundcare or compression therapy. A strong understanding of acute and community healthcare settings across devolved nations (Northern Ireland and Scotland) and NHS England (North East & North Cumbria ICB). Experience selling into NHS organisations and working with a range of clinical and procurement stakeholders. Knowledge of wound care and compression therapy products and services. Strong relationship-building, influencing, and stakeholder management skills. Commercial awareness with the ability to identify and capitalise on growth opportunities. Excellent presentation, negotiation, and communication skills. A proactive and self-motivated approach to driving business development outcomes.
