Position Summary The Gas and Chemical Systems (GCS) Gas Equipment Engineer role is focused on comprehensively owning, maintaining, supporting, and improving specialty and bulk chemical equipment and operations at Samsung. This role is also responsible for coordinating the startup and commissioning of newly installed equipment. As a part of the Chemical Systems team, you will provide support by interacting with the on-site operations and maintenance teams to ensure constant, high purity supply of chemical material to fab production customer toolsets. Role and Responsibilities Here’s What You’ll Be Responsible For: Commission and startup new equipment installations. Evaluate future scenario planning including infrastructure budget and schedule forecasting, utilization and capacity data analysis, and reporting. Will provide technical expertise and ownership for supply systems, safety and quality standards, and improvements for those systems. Engineer will interact with operations teams, maintenance teams, construction teams, and equipment vendors to sustain and maintain equipment. Troubleshoot emergent equipment issues and provide technical direction to resolve. Work with maintenance teams to plan and execute non-standard equipment maintenance to address failures or equipment improvements. Communicate and coordinate with Fab Engineering groups to provide technical support, supply issue resolution, and collaboration for improved safety, quality, and system reliability. Skills and Qualifications Here's what you'll need: 4 year college/university or equivalent related experience preferred; Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Chemical engineering preferred. 4+ years of related experience (gas or chemical equipment ownership, semiconductor experience a plus). Strong technical skills and the ability to represent the group in work coordination and execution. The current base salary range for this role is between $76,000 - $174,500. Individual base pay rates will depend on factors including duties, work location, education, skills, qualifications and experience. Total compensation for this position will include a competitive benefits package and may include participation in company incentive compensation programs, which are based on factors to include organizational and individual performance.
