Your role at Baxter The Senior Manufacturing Accountant is responsible for activities related to the various manufacturing sites in a region. The role requires understanding of sophisticated accounting matters, quick problem-solving skills and tight-knit collaboration with other finance and non-finance teams. What you'll be doing We prepare manual journals as needed with adequate supporting documentation We are responsible for preparing reserves such as E&O, NRV etc., and prepare manufacturing variance analysis as needed We complete account reconciliations in Blackline per established deadlines We respond to queries from local country finance in a timely manner We provide audit support as needed We support regional and global reporting requirements such as monthly Balance Sheet & P&L Flux analysis We support monthly/quarterly/annual close processes We ensure adherence of processes to company's policies and procedures, internal and external audit requirements and local rules and regulations; support strengthening of financial processes and controls We support local, regional, and global projects, as the need arises and maintain focus on continuous process improvement opportunities Additional hours at critical times (e.g., month-end) may be required. Also, and on an exceptional basis, the role may require work on public holidays What you'll bring Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Accounting (graduated) Minimum of 3 years of experience in inventory accounting in a shared service environment Background in Manufacturing accounting is a plus Confirmed experience in a multinational environment and/or audit Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite Good knowledge of US GAAP Experience in ERP tools (JDE, SAP, Blackline, Alteryx, W-Desk) is a plus Strong analytical skills Excellent communication skills, respectful, flexible and “can do” mind-set Equal Employment Opportunity Baxter is an equal opportunity employer.
