[What the role is] This position is responsible to support the acquisition efforts of third-party leisure events, corporate and public events, in our ambition to be a venue for world-class events. With every key/notable event, this role will canvass for Island Partners’ participation to activate islandwide aligned to the event theme as part of the festivisation strategy to increase visitorship and revenue for SDC. Responsible to see through and ensure all agreements are adhered to, and payment timeliness. This position also lead and manage a team of 2 members. [What you will be working on] You will be responsible for revenue targets, via new and repeat events, as well as lead collaborative efforts with island partners, as follows: Pitch and market Sentosa as a destination of choice for corporates and event organisers to hold their events on the island. This selection of events should be guided by our brand values to enhance the proposition. Responsible to acquire new events through scan and hunt, to bring in events guided by our brand values to enhance island proposition. To work collaboratively with our island partners and key stakeholders to ensure seamless execution to deliver good customer experience. Lead festivisation efforts to activate the island on a common theme, aligned to key/notable events. This will be measured by, but not limited to, participation and redemption rates. Ensure all paperwork and processes are adhered to and complied, with timely payment. [What we are looking for] Diploma / Degree in Sales, Events or Business Administration with at least 6 years working experience, preferably in tourism or hospitality. Proven track record in executing events and partnership. Enthusiastic, self-driven and resourceful, and able to multi-task and work under pressure independently and as a team Strong business acumen, good analytical and negotiation skills and excellent interpersonal skills as well as excellent follow-up ability. Good business writing skills and presentation skills Attentive, meticulous, resourceful, and organized internally and externally.
