Responsible for the strategic and operational management of the full lifecycle of transportation solution development, including network design, engineering, modeling, route optimization, partner selection, cost structuring, and project implementation across all ECLA countries except Brazil. Transportation Network Development Lead the design and evolution of the regional transportation network, ensuring efficiency, safety, competitive cost, and alignment with customer needs. Model multimodal transportation solutions (road, intermodal, cross-border, LTL/FTL, last mile) considering market trends, commercial opportunities, and competitive landscape. Evaluate and structure new logistics corridors, hubs, strategic partnerships, and capacity alternatives. Business Cases and Commercial Expansion Lead the preparation of comprehensive business cases for new investments, including modeling of CAPEX, OPEX, revenue, margins, EBITDA, and economic return. Develop investment memorandums for expansion projects, new services, technology adoption, and efficiency initiatives. Act as a strategic partner to the commercial organization, supporting complex proposals, RFPs, and negotiations with regional customers. Project Management and Implementations Lead transportation development and expansion projects, ensuring on-time and on-budget delivery, with clear definition and tracking of operational and financial KPIs. Coordinate cross-functional teams (Operations, Commercial, Finance, IT, Legal, Procurement) to ensure integrated execution. Structure implementation plans for new services, new countries, new partners, and post-acquisition integrations. Automation, Technology, and Operational Efficiency Identify opportunities for automation, digitalization, and process optimization (TMS, visibility platforms, control tower, routing, tracking, billing). Prepare business cases for technology adoption, including ROI analysis, operational impact, and implementation roadmap. Develop analytical tools and simulation models to support continuous improvement of network performance. Due Diligence and Acquisition Integration Participate in due diligence processes for transportation companies or assets, assessing risks, synergies, and value creation opportunities. Support the development of integration plans, ensuring alignment with the corporate playbook and rapid synergy capture. RFPs and Customer Solutions Prepare professional RFP responses for transportation services, translating customer requirements into robust operational solutions. Define required resources: fleet, partners, processes, SLAs, KPIs, routes, costs, operational structure, and governance model. Ensure proposed solutions are competitive, scalable, and aligned with the regional strategy. Other Responsibilities Lead or support special projects related to regional expansion, operational efficiency, sustainability, and innovation. Represent the company in strategic forums, customer meetings, and interactions with key partners. Qualifications / Additional Skills Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Logistics, Business, Engineering, or related fields; MBA preferred. 10+ years of experience in logistics and supply chain, with a strong focus on transportation operations, preferably in complex and multinational environments. Proven experience in project management, leading cross-functional teams, and implementing transportation solutions. Strong analytical capabilities, with expertise in financial modeling, network design, and transportation planning. Excellent communication, influencing, and stakeholder management skills. Advanced proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and transportation systems (TMS, routing, visibility tools). Availability for international travel (approx. 50%).
