Import and Export Analyst
Job description
As an Import and Export Analyst you are responsible for managing the company's import and export processes while ensuring compliance with customs regulations, internal procedures, and logistics management policies. This role serves as a key liaison between logistics, finance, planning, and external partners to ensure products are imported and exported on time to support business and production needs. The position requires strong communication, analytical, and process improvement skills to optimize trade operations and maintain efficient supply chain execution. The successful candidate will help ensure continuity of supply, timely shipments, and operational excellence across international trade activities. Why This Role Matters Ensures import and export operations are executed accurately and on schedule to support production plans and customer commitments. Drives compliance with customs regulations and trade requirements, minimizing operational risk and shipment delays. Partners with logistics, finance, planning, and external providers to maintain supply chain continuity and prevent inventory shortages. Identifies and implements process improvements that enhance efficiency, visibility, and cost management across foreign trade operations. What You Will Do Manage import and export activities, ensuring shipments are processed in accordance with established timelines and customs regulations. Coordinate with customs brokers, transportation providers, and internal stakeholders to ensure timely clearance, dispatch, and delivery of shipments. Monitor shipment status and provide regular updates to importers and cross-functional teams, developing action plans to mitigate potential supply disruptions. Maintain accurate import and export data within SAP and prepare reporting for Finance, Accounting, and Planning teams. Track trade-related costs and support initiatives to improve operational efficiency, process performance, and service levels. Collaborate closely with Logistics, Finance, and Planning teams to ensure products are available when needed and customer commitments are met. What We're Looking For Bachelor's degree in International Business, Foreign Trade, Industrial Engineering, or a related field. At least 1 year of experience in Foreign Trade, Customs, Logistics, or Supply Chain operations. Intermediate to advanced English proficiency with strong verbal and written communication skills. Advanced Excel skills and experience working with SAP or similar ERP systems; knowledge of Power BI and Excel macros is a plus. Knowledge of customs regulations, import/export processes, and trade compliance requirements. Strong analytical, organizational, and teamwork skills with a process improvement mindset and ability to work collaboratively across functions. #LI-FG1 Goodyear is one of the world's largest tire companies.
