The North Carolina Department of Public Instruction (NCDPI) is charged with implementing the state's public school laws for pre-kindergarten through 12th grade public schools at the direction of the State Superintendent of Public Instruction and State Board of Education. Description of Work This position provides regional Career and Technical

Education

(CTE) coordination, support, and services for PSU CTE personnel (administrators, support staff, and teachers) in the districts assigned.

Job Responsibilities

Facilitate the implementation of the CTE Course Inventory; providing technical assistance to PSUs on CTE issues. Monitor LEA compliance with applicable regulations, laws, policies, and procedures. Facilitate processes for PSU local applications for CTE Planning and Performance Management. Serve as the liaison for NC Prosperity Zones as assigned; and other duties as assigned by the CTE Director. Provide local, regional, and statewide professional development opportunities to increase skills and knowledge of participants using multiple learning opportunities. Collaborate with the DPI staff; facilitating and/or providing professional development and updates to CTE personnel in PSUs. serving as the liaison for NC Prosperity Zones as assigned. The Division has content consultants in the areas of Agriculture Education; Business, Finance, and Marketing Education; Computer Science and Information Technology Education; Health Science Education; Family and Consumer Sciences Education; Trade, Technology, Engineering, and Industrial Education; Career Development; Curriculum Management; Civil Rights; Special Populations; Planning and Performance Management; and Regional Coordination. The Division serves as the Agency's contact for the Community College System's articulation with Perkins legislation and accountability. The Career and Technical
