Director, Product Management (Crim Automation)

What You'll Do The individual in this role will support Product leadership in executing the strategic path of both current and future First Advantage products. The Product Director is a hands-on leader responsible for executing the product roadmap in alignment with finance, analytics, operations, implementation, and senior management to achieve revenue and cost efficiency goals. The Director will lead the end-to-end execution of Global Criminal and Public Record automation capabilities including web, API, and bulk data integrations that drive scalability, accuracy, and operational efficiency across global criminal record fulfillment. This role involves active involvement in product design, backlog management, and delivery execution. In addition to leading a team of Product Owners and Business Analysts, this role will personally drive product requirements definition, partner with engineering and data teams, and ensure successful delivery of high-impact automation solutions aligned to revenue, cost optimization, and customer experience goals.
Responsibilities
Own and execute the product roadmap with direct accountability for delivery outcomes, timelines, and business impact Lead a team of Product Owners and Business Analysts to ensure delivery of quality, innovation and customer value throughout the product development lifecycle Partner closely with engineering, data, and operations teams to formulate, document, and validate tactical, actionable requirements for product development, define scalable architectures and ensure successful technical delivery Actively engage in sprint ceremonies, backlog grooming, and release planning as both a product leader and individual contributor Manage roadmap prioritization, trade-off decisions, and roadmap sequencing based on business value, operational efficiency, and technical feasibility Establish and track KPIs for automation performance, including turnaround time, data accuracy, cost efficiency, and coverage expansion Drive continuous improvement of automation frameworks to increase reusability, reduce manual intervention, and accelerate fulfillment cycles What You May Need to Be Successful Bachelor's degree in Business, Technology, or related field Seven or more years related experience in Business Analysis, Product Management or related role, preferably in a global, public organization, including people management and practical agile experience
Experience
coaching or mentoring product roles Proven experience with product and software development tools, techniques and agile methodologies Strong leadership skills with a track record of leading and growing high-performing teams Critical thinker with the ability to balance short-term needs with long-term vision Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across different teams and levels of the organization Ability to synthesize and analyze data from a variety of sources, identify issues, draw conclusions, and craft solutions Ability to conduct and lead project meetings and track progress against stated strategies and timetables A passionate commitment to user-centered design and development Excellent problem-solving, organizational, analytical, and communication skills Pragmatic Institute certifications are a plus Certified Scrum Product Owner(CSPO), Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or Project Management Institute-Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP) is a plus Project Management Institute (PMI), Certified Associate Project Management (CSPM) or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus Excellent analytical and problem solving Team player who can work flexible hours Ability to work collaboratively in a fast paced, constantly changing environment Excellent organizational and time management skills – ability to multi-task Ability to change communication style to fit the situation and audience We have great people here and are looking for more.
