Job description

Minimum Hiring Wage: From $18.89 per hour Job Details: Scheduled hours: Monday - Friday from 8:30am - 5:00pm Job Description: Greet public and register Emergency Room patients. Perform clerical and reception duties utilizing knowledge of medical terminology.

Duties

include answering telephones, reviewing physician order and various health care documents, completing order entry. Schedule patients and accept cash collections. Conduct patient interviews to verify demographic and insurance information necessary for the patient and third-party payers, assures compliance with all state and federal rules/regulations pertaining to insurance carrier, and gathers signatures for required forms. Operate switchboard and utilizes paging system. Monitors various alarm panels and dispatches for disaster planning, weather warnings, and other facility codes. Other duties as assigned to ensure patient access management and to maximize the revenue cycle.

Qualifications

REQUIRED High School diploma or GED PREFERRED Medical Terminology Graduation from an accredited program for Medical Assistants Computer classes and/or experience Previous healthcare experience
