Job description

AT&T is seeking an Environmental Site Manager (ESM) to support environmental, health, and safety (EHS) compliance across Northern California. This role is responsible for ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local environmental regulations while supporting operational teams, managing regulatory inspections, and mitigating environmental risks. Key

Responsibilities

Manage environmental compliance programs and regulatory requirements across assigned facilities. Lead regulatory inspections and serve as the primary contact for environmental agencies. Conduct Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs), compliance audits, and risk assessments. Investigate environmental incidents and drive corrective actions. Ensure compliance related to: Fuel storage tanks Generators Hazardous materials and waste Batteries and universal waste Air emissions Water discharge and stormwater regulations Construction-related environmental requirements Deliver environmental compliance training and support emergency response activities. Provide environmental guidance to operations, engineering, construction, and leadership teams. Required

Qualifications

Experience

managing environmental compliance programs in a regulated environment. Knowledge of environmental regulations governing hazardous materials, waste, air emissions, water compliance, and fuel storage systems.

Experience

conducting audits, inspections, investigations, or environmental assessments. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Ability to work independently and manage priorities across a geographically dispersed territory.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in environmental science, Environmental Engineering, Occupational Health & Safety, or a related field, or equivalent experience. Environmental certifications or advanced environmental compliance training.

Experience

within telecommunications, utilities, construction, industrial, or facilities operations. Knowledge of California environmental regulations.

Experience

with Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments.

Experience
