A Day in the Life As a Senior Enterprise Software Test Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality, reliability, and regulatory compliance of software solutions supporting advanced healthcare technologies. Based in Hyderabad, you will partner with software engineering, quality, systems, and product teams to verify complex software-intensive products through robust test automation and validation strategies. This role combines deep expertise in Windows desktop application testing, automation framework architecture, and quality engineering practices to support the delivery of safe and reliable medical technology solutions. You will work across distributed systems, contribute to software verification and validation activities, and help drive earlier defect detection, increased automation coverage, and improved release confidence. The position offers the opportunity to influence test strategy, mentor engineers, and collaborate with global cross-functional teams developing software for healthcare and surgical technology platforms.
Responsibilities

Lead the design, implementation, and execution of automated testing strategies for complex Windows desktop applications and software-intensive products. Architect, maintain, and enhance scalable test automation frameworks to improve product quality, test coverage, and release efficiency. Drive software verification and validation activities throughout the product development lifecycle. Develop and execute functional, integration, system, API, regression, and end-to-end automated test suites. Collaborate with software, systems, quality, and product teams to define test requirements, acceptance criteria, and validation strategies. Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines and quality gates to improve development velocity and release confidence. Investigate defects, perform root cause analysis, and support corrective actions through closure. Ensure compliance with applicable software quality, verification, validation, and regulatory requirements. Mentor engineers on test automation best practices and quality engineering methodologies. Partner with global cross-functional teams to support the delivery of safe, reliable, and compliant healthcare technology solutions. Required Knowledge and
Experience
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or Software Engineering. 8-10 years of software test automation experience.
Experience
testing complex software-intensive products.
Experience
designing and implementing automation frameworks.
Experience
testing Windows desktop applications.
Experience
working in Agile or Scrum product development environments.
Experience
working with distributed and integrated software systems. Proficiency in C# or Python programming.
Experience
with one or more test automation frameworks including Ranorex, PyTest, Robot Framework, or Playwright.
Experience
with UI automation frameworks for desktop application testing.
Experience
with API testing using REST Assured, SOAP UI, Swagger/OpenAPI, or equivalent tools.
Experience
using GitHub for source control and collaborative development.
Experience
working within Windows and Linux operating environments. Preferred:
Experience
with medical device, robotic, or healthcare technology products.
Experience
with robotic-assisted surgery systems, surgical navigation platforms, image-guided therapy systems, medical imaging applications, embedded medical devices, real-time systems, or safety-critical products. Knowledge of IEC 62304, ISO 14971, IEC 60601, FDA Design Controls, and Software Verification & Validation practices. Exposure to cybersecurity testing for medical devices.
Experience
with hardware-in-the-loop testing, robotic arm validation, computer vision testing, or simulation-based testing.
Experience
with DICOM-based imaging workflows and network communication protocols.
Experience
working with digital twin environments. Exposure to AI/ML-enabled medical applications, test data management, and automated defect analytics.
