Pay Range
$111,400.00-$153,100.00 Annual This is the base salary pay range that an applicant can expect to make upon hire. Pay within this range will vary based upon relevant experience, skills, and education among other factors. In addition, this position is eligible for an incentive bonus. Johns Manville is seeking a Senior Human Resources Manager to lead all HR activities for the Waterville manufacturing complex. This complex is part of our Engineered Products business division and consists of two plants, a separate warehouse, and a unionized workforce. This hands-on leadership role serves as a strategic partner to site leadership while directly supporting day-to-day HR operations. Leading a team of one HR Manager and one HR Specialist, the Senior HR Manager is responsible for labor and employee relations, talent management, workforce planning, organizational effectiveness, compliance, employee engagement, and leadership development. The ideal candidate combines strong labor relations experience with the ability to influence business outcomes and build a high-performing culture. Your Day-to-Day: Partner with site leadership to align people strategies with business objectives and operational goals. Foster a positive employee relations environment through open communication, responsiveness, and consistent application of policies and practices. Lead employee and labor relations activities, including contract administration, grievance management, investigations, conflict resolution, corrective actions, and positive union-management relations. Participate in labor strategy development and collective bargaining activities. Coach leaders on performance management, talent development, succession planning, and organizational effectiveness. Oversee recruiting, talent development, employee engagement, and retention initiatives. Ensure compliance with employment laws, labor regulations, company policies, and HR programs. Lead, coach, and develop a small HR team while maintaining a hands-on presence within the operation. Champion a culture of safety, inclusion, accountability, and continuous improvement. What You Bring to the Team: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Psychology, Industrial Relations, or related field. HR certification (SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR) preferred 8+ years of progressive HR experience, including significant manufacturing experience. 5+ years of HR leadership experience.

supporting a unionized workforce and administering collective bargaining agreements. Collective bargaining negotiation experience preferred Strong employee relations, labor relations, talent management, and leadership coaching skills.
