Job Description At Vertex, we are relentless in our pursuit of transformative solutions for patients with serious diseases. Our innovative approach to research and development has positioned us as a leader in the biotechnology industry. We are seeking a highly motivated and innovative Senior Scientist, Single-Cell Genomics to join a multidisciplinary research team focused on advancing the understanding of human disease biology and enabling translational research through state-of-the-art cellular and molecular profiling approaches. The successful candidate will lead the design, execution, optimization, and interpretation of single-cell genomics and multi-omics workflows, with a primary emphasis on wet-lab experimental biology. This role will focus on implementation of 10x Genomics-based and related single-cell platforms to generate high-quality datasets from complex tissue and peripheral biological samples, including applications in immune cell profiling and disease-relevant contexts. The ideal candidate will bring deep hands-on expertise in executing single-cell assays and the ability to partner closely with computational scientists and cross-functional research teams. The candidate will contribute to developing mechanistic understanding of disease biology and support translational research, biomarker development, and therapeutic hypothesis generation. This is an exciting opportunity for a scientist who is passionate about building and applying cutting-edge single-cell technologies to support target discovery, translational biology, and mechanistic investigation in a collaborative biotech environment.
