Who You Are: (Job Summary) The Senior Manager, Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) is responsible for leading and managing EHS programs across the organization. This role oversees the development, implementation, and ongoing management of EHS programs and compliance activities to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and company standards. The Senior Manager works closely with site data center leadership and cross‑functional partners to identify, mitigate, and resolve EHS risks and challenges. In addition, the role provides leadership and support for new and evolving EHS initiatives, driving consistency, effectiveness, and continuous improvement across sites. What You Will Do: (Job Responsibilities) Lead team to execute Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) policies, guidelines, procedures, and implementation plans for applicable programs for QTS data centers. Be responsible for regulatory compliance across all EHS programs. Conduct and review audits of applicable EHS programs and develop recommendations for improvement to ensure compliance with internal procedures as well as applicable regulations. Maintain environmental permits/programs to ensure compliance with all applicable regulations. Investigate and analyze incident reports involving work‐related injuries and illnesses and recommend measures to prevent recurrence. Keep current on professional training and safety certifications. Identify and evaluate operational EHS and sustainability risks for impact to the business. Analyze risk scenarios to determine their potential impact to the business and implement programs to mitigate those risks. Conduct assessments of existing EHS programs to ensure alignment with QTS EHS policies. Assess EHS training needs based on EHS programs and ensures that workforce training activities are provided to meet legislative requirements. Manage the portfolio of EHS initiatives and programs for company initiatives. Coach, mentor and lead the site EHS champions to ensure successful implementation of EHS programs at each data center site. Ensure all EHS record keeping programs are in place and meet requirements. Set and manage corporate wide EHS goals. Establish an EHS dashboard with key performance indicators for QTS. Work collaboratively as a member of the People Leadership Team. Other duties as assigned. Responsibilities

EHS Management Systems/ Continuous Improvement Lead the continual improvement of enterprise EHS management systems. Develop and/or enhance policies, standards, procedures, and guidance documents that align with regulatory requirements and industry best practices. Build scalable systems that support consistency across multiple business units and geographic locations. Develop meaningful performance metrics and dashboards to measure program effectiveness and drive accountability. Support internal and external audits and facilitate corrective and preventive action processes. Industrial Hygiene Develop and manage comprehensive industrial hygiene programs, including exposure assessment strategies and monitoring protocols. Provide technical expertise in anticipation, recognition, evaluation, and control of occupational health hazards. Partner with operations to evaluate new processes, equipment, and facilities for occupational health risks. Develop programs related to respiratory protection, hearing conservation, silica, chemical management, ergonomics, and other occupational health initiatives. Interpret exposure monitoring data and recommend effective engineering, administrative, and PPE controls. Learning & Development Design, develop, and implement comprehensive instructor-led, virtual, and self-paced learning programs. Build competency-based learning paths for employees, supervisors, managers, and EHS professionals. Apply principles of adult learning to maximize knowledge retention, engagement, and behavioral change. Develop standardized training materials, facilitator guides, e-learning modules, videos, and performance support tools. Measure training effectiveness using leading and lagging indicators and continuously improve learning outcomes. Required

Qualifications

Certified Safety Professional (CSP) designation required. Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Science, Occupational Health, Engineering, or a related discipline. Demonstrated success developing and implementing enterprise EHS management systems. Extensive experience designing and managing industrial hygiene programs. Demonstrated experience developing both in-person and virtual learning programs. Proven understanding and application of adult learning principles. Outstanding communication, facilitation, and presentation skills.

Experience

leading cross-functional initiatives and influencing leaders at all organizational levels.

Preferred Qualifications

Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) designation preferred, or equivalent educational background and practical industrial hygiene experience. Certified Instructional Trainer (or equivalent instructional certification) preferred.

Experience

implementing Learning Management Systems (LMS) and digital learning platforms.

Experience

with ISO 45001 and continuous improvement methodologies.

Experience
