The Role Your role As Director, Finance – Financial Planning & Analysis (Japan Controller) for Kyndryl Japan, you will serve as a trusted advisor to the Japan CFO and a strategic business partner. Kyndryl Japan is one of Kyndryl’s most important and profitable markets globally, with FY2026 revenue of $2.286 billion and EBITDA of $486 million. You will oversee FP&A for the Japan business, leading planning, analysis, performance management, and executive reporting across revenue, profitability, and cash flow. Working closely with senior leadership, business units, and global and regional Finance teams, you will provide financial insights that support critical decisions, growth strategies, and profitability initiatives. This leadership role directly influences growth and value creation across the Japan business and leads the overall FP&A organization and the Finance team responsible for revenue. What you will do • Lead the development and execution of the Annual Operating Plan and forecasting processes for the Japan business • Analyze actual and projected revenue, profitability, and cash flow, and recommend actions to improve business performance • Design and monitor financial and operational KPIs, and oversee executive reporting and performance reviews • Provide data-driven financial insights to the CFO, President, senior leadership, and business leaders to support critical decisions • Validate business plans and financial assumptions, identify opportunities and risks, and drive profitability and value-creation initiatives • Partner with senior leadership to support medium- and long-term business strategy and investment decisions from a financial perspective • Lead, develop, and strengthen the overall FP&A organization and the Finance team responsible for revenue • Collaborate with global and regional Finance teams and internal functions to lead finance transformation and continuous improvement • Build capabilities for more strategic financial decision-making through enhanced use of data and advanced analytics Who You Are Required skills and experience • 10+ years of professional experience in finance or accounting • Extensive FP&A leadership experience, with a proven track record of leading annual planning, forecasting, and performance management •

Experience

analyzing and reporting on revenue, profitability, cash flow, and key performance indicators •

Experience

serving as a business partner to the CFO and senior leadership and supporting management decisions through financial analysis •

Experience

in people management, talent development, and organizational leadership within a Finance function •

Experience

working in a multinational company and collaborating with global and regional Finance teams • Strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to evaluate complex business issues and present clear recommendations to senior leadership • Business-level or higher communication skills in both Japanese and English Preferred skills and experience • Leadership experience in roles such as Controller, Finance Director, Head of FP&A, or Country Finance Manager •

Experience

in FP&A, management accounting, and business performance management for a large Japanese entity or business • Finance experience in IT services, technology, consulting, or professional services •

Experience

in revenue management, business performance management, and financial consolidation • A finance or accounting qualification such as CPA (Certified Public Accountant) , CMA (Certified Management Accountant), or Japanese Certified Public Accountant, or an MBA •

Experience

driving finance transformation, process standardization, enhanced reporting, or data-driven management •

Experience

clearly communicating business opportunities and risks to senior leadership and supporting strategic decision-making •

Experience

leading change across functions and global environments while engaging diverse stakeholders •
